Gel contains 0.6% indoxacarb in a highly palatable bait formulation designed for indoor and outdoor control of key cockroach species. Mode of action: Uniquely activated by the cockroach’s enzymes Advion Cockroach Gel can effectively differentiate between target and non-target organisms thanks to its unique mode of action. The conversion of the indoxacarb molecule into its more insecticidal form can only take place with interaction from the insect’s (target organism) enzymes. The activated molecule then binds to the target site and blocks the insect’s sodium channels. The insect experiences paralysis, followed by death. Highly palatability means greater bait consumption The superiority of Advion Cockroach Gel’s attractiveness is well established in scientific studies, including situations where food sources are consistently present. As an example, a Nigerian study performed in 55 household kitchens treated with Advion Cockroach Gel (6-8 gel spots at 0.5 gr), demonstrated that 24 hours after treatment all gel spots were consumed. Despite all treated kitchens in this study having alternative food sources available, the cockroaches were attracted to Advion Cockroach Gel. The cockroach reduction was 99.8% after 14 days following treatment.
